Description:
Spiramycin is white or yellowish powder with slight taste; Micro moisture absorption; It is soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone or ether, almost insoluble in water, and insoluble in petroleum ether. It is a macrolide antibiotic obtained from Streptomyces ambofaciens culture medium. Spiramycin is the acetate of acetylspiramycin, which is deacetylated after oral administration and shows strong antibacterial effect. Spiramycin is a kind of strong bacteriostatic agent, which has bactericidal effect only at a very high concentration.
Application：
Spiramycin can be used to treat ear, nose, throat and respiratory tract infections caused by gram-positive bacteria and some gram-negative bacteria, such as acute bronchitis, acute attack of acute bronchitis, pneumonia, scarlet fever, tonsillitis, otitis media, periodontitis and acute sinusitis. This product can also be used to treat non gonococcal urethritis. This product has strong antibacterial effect and post antibacterial effect (PAE) in vivo, can enhance the phagocytosis of phagocytes, and is widely distributed in the body. The concentration of this product in the tissue and cells is higher than erythromycin, and the side effects are less than erythromycin.
