Sodium hempetaphosphate, is an inorganic compound, chemical formula (NaPO3)6, is a white crystalline powder, soluble in water, insoluble in organic solvents, mainly used in the food industry as quality improver, pH regulator, metal ion chelating agent, binder and expansion agent.
Application:
1.Food industry: Sodium hexametaphosphate is used as a food additive, commonly used as a leavening agent and stabilizer. It can be added to baked goods such as breads, cakes and cookies to provide volume and texture.
2.Detergents and cleaners: Sodium hexametaphosphate can be used as a chelating agent and dispersant in detergents and cleaners. It is able to bind to metal ions, reduce the effects of hard water, and help remove stains and deposits.
3.Water treatment: Sodium hmetaphosphate is used as a water treatment agent to stabilize water quality and prevent the formation of scale. It can be combined with calcium and magnesium plasma to prevent them from depositing on pipes and equipment surfaces.
4.Metal surface treatment: Sodium hempetaphosphate can be used as a metal surface treatment agent to remove rust and clean metal surfaces. It is able to react with metal ions to form a protective phosphate layer that prevents further oxidation and corrosion.
