Sorbitol has much higher resistance to microorganisms than glucose, making it less susceptible to fermentation and microbial action. Sorbitol is widely used in amino acid infusion, oral liquid, tablet excipients, and moisturizers for pharmaceuticals. It is used as a moisturizer, softener, humidity regulator, softener, adhesive, complexing agent, plasticizer, lubricant, and decomposer in foods such as chewing gum, aquatic products, meat products, ice cream, seasonings, etc. Its application range is very wide.
