biological activity
Lasalocid sodium (Lasalocid A sodium) is an antibacterial agent.
Chemical properties
White to brown powder, with a specific odor and a melting point of 191-192 ℃ (decomposition). Slightly soluble in water and soluble in most organic solvents. Stable performance, can be stored at 37 ℃ for 6 months without change, and at 25 ℃ for 18 months without change. Oral LD50146mg/kg for mice and 5075-112mg/kg for chickens.
Purpose
Salaloxic sodium, as an anticoccidial drug, can be used in feed for chickens under 16 weeks of age at a dosage of 75 (7500 × 104U) -125 (12500 × 104U) g/t, prohibited during egg laying period, with a 5-day discontinuation period. Avoid using horses as they can cause death.
Production method
Produced by fermentation of Streptomyces lasaliensis.
